Hi, my name is Carlos Quevedo. I am a Public Relations professional with a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and a minor in Political Science from Illinois State University, completed in December 2023. Currently, I serve as Public Relations Assistant Account Executive at Hernandez & Garcia in Lincolnwood, IL (August 2024 – Present). In this role, I pitch stories to secure earned media, build influencer partnerships, manage paid media campaigns with influencer activations and sponsored content, and develop social media strategies, including content creation, scheduling, and performance tracking. I also plan and execute high-impact community events and fundraisers. Additionally, I support strategic account management, prepare press materials, monitor the media landscape, and contribute to crisis communication protocols to protect and enhance brand reputation. Previously, I worked as an Event and Tent Specialist at Bloomingdale’s (April 2023 – March 2024), collaborating on social events and ensuring excellent client communication. As a Sales Specialist at Richmond Marketing in Bloomington, IL (July 2022 – March 2024), I assisted clients with purchasing decisions and delivered personalized sales consultations. Earlier, I provided Custodial and Events Support at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Glenview, IL (May 2021 – December 2023), where I helped organize school events and maintained effective communication with teachers and parents.I am passionate about using creativity, strategic communication, and storytelling to help organizations build meaningful relationships with their audiences, generate positive media coverage, and create real community impact.
